On Thursday, May 17, 2018 Milwaukee Continuum of Care presented Cardinal Capital with a Distinguished Landlord Award at their Community Engagement and Outreach Fundraiser.
The Distinguished Landlord Award acknowledges Cardinal Capital’s innovative approach to permanent supportive housing in Milwaukee and nationwide. Specifically, it recognizes the property management work done at Thurgood Marshall Apartments, Wisconsin’s first New Harm Reduction housing development located in Milwaukee. The development provides 24 one-bedroom units of permanent, supportive housing for low-income adults who are chronically homeless and suffer from chronic alcoholism.
The nomination notes that Cardinal Capital puts the needs of Thurgood Marshall’s residents first, by way of having very limited screening criteria, and collaborating with other community agencies to open an internal resource and outreach hub within the building. It also highlights the exceptional property maintenance, and amenities available to residents.
We at Cardinal Capital are honored to be recipients of this award.
