As part of a two-phase development beginning early next year, Cardinal Capital Management, Inc. will co-develop a project targeting 600 units with Lee Jaramillo’s, Northterra Real Estate Group.

The development, northwest of Braun Road and South Green Bay Avenue, will open near Microsoft Corp.’s Mount Pleasant data center development by the end of 2028. That data center has started construction and could eventually include more than two square miles east of Interstate 94.

Mount Pleasant continues to be the most active municipality in Racine County for new apartment development as officials countywide respond to a predicted need for more homes.

Covering about 60 acres, the apartment development will be comprised of two-story garden-style apartments and townhomes.

Per the development agreement approved by the Mount Pleasant Village, the first phase with about 300 apartments is to start construction by April 2025 and be completed by the end of 2026. The second is to be completed by the end of 2028.
