Access not only connects people to opportunities, it creates them. While access to the Internet has improved dramatically, minorities, people with disabilities, seniors and lower income households are less likely to have the technology necessary to access the Internet. The availability of on-site technology can help kids improve their reading, link seniors with children living in other states, help those experiencing mental illness interact with the outside world in familiar surroundings, and help a single mother complete and submit a job application. To date, Cardinal Capital Management, Inc. has connected approximately 2,300 units of housing to the Internet.
